Does Khushi centre work in India or other countries too?

Khushi centre is a national level development organization with its welfare projects spread across India.

What is the scenario in India, presently?

India has about 11 million children living on the streets and 14 million children working as labours. Only 60% of children have access to education despite having a national policy on compulsory elementary education. The time to take collective as well as individual responsibility to remedy the current situation is here. Right now!

How old is Khushi centre?

KHUSHI CENTRE FOR REHABILITATION AND RESEARCH (known as Khushi Centre or KCRR), conceptualized in 2006 incorporated as a research based charitable Trust in 2008. KCRR works with the socio-economic weaker sections of the society for their empowerment.
It has been working with a holistic and rights based approach by catering services in field of Health, Environmental Health, Socio-economic and Medical Rehabilitation, Rural Development, Education and Disaster management.

What is the mission of Khushi centre?

Addressing Health needs: BY providing preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care services to the socio economically weaker and marginalized sections, including people living in remote or rural areas.
Providing Education: In formal, non-formal, functional literacy and in alternative forms for the marginalized children and adults.


Creating Livelihood: Through encouraging and mobilizing the participation of youth & adults, we involve them in sustainable income generation ventures by providing them relevant training and capacity building programs.

Healthy Environment: Create awareness on environmental health issues and to provide a platform to exchange ideas to discuss emerging critical areas.
Responding to Disaster emergencies: By generating resources at short notice to assist in relief and rehabilitation operations at disaster sites.

Holistic Development: Khushi Centre adopts an integrated, holistic and rights based approach in all its development programs and services.

Who are the people behind Khushi centre?

The realization of a group of young corporate professionals, that it was their Social Responsibility to give back to the society, laid the inception of Khushi centre.
Khushi centre is managed professionally by a Board of Advisors, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds and expertise, followed by an Executive Committee and a well defined professional workforce. Mr.saket mani trivedi who is Secretary General / CEO in khushi centre just only 30 years old.

Khushi centre has been working in the thematic areas of education for all, health for all, Food for all, Right to livelihood, Holistic and sustainable development empowerment of women and girls.

What is the working model of Khushi centre?

Khushi Centre for Rehabilitation and Research (KCRR), a Delhi based registered non-profit organization working in the area of Environmental Health, Health, Rehabilitation, Disaster Management, Holistic and Sustainable Development.
KCRR had its inception in August 2006, at Sant Kiran Das Ashram, Jaunti, Delhi as a rehabilitation and special care centre for special children belonging to socio-economically backward sections of the society.
KCRR was registered in April 2008 under the Trust Act. (KCRR is different from Khushii, kinship for humanitarian Social and holistic intervention, where Shri Kapil Dev is Chairman)

Vision and Philosophy Khushi Centre’s vision is to help the socio-economically weaker and marginalized sections of the society in realizing and increasing their potentialities for becoming self reliant.
We affirm our faith in the worth and dignity of all individuals belonging to the human family; and believe that the marginalized and the weaker sections of the society, vulnerable among whom are women and children, have the basic rights to adequate food, clothing, health, education, medical facilities, recreation, love and care.

Aims and Objectives: Health for all: through identifying and addressing health needs of communities who have had poor coverage of health care services.
Education for all: Through expanding the quality and quantity of formal education for students through education centres like schools and non-formal centres for non-school going and drop out children.

What is the source of funding for the organization?

Around 70-80% funding support of the organization comes from corporates; the rest comes from PSUs, individual donors and private institutions.

At present how many people are directly benefitting from various programmes of Khushi centre?

At present Khushi centre is directly benefitting more than 300,000 children, youth and women through 158 welfare projects across 25 states of India.

How can one associate with the organization?

The organization committee seeks jobs and volunteering opportunities to fresher's youth for the development and fulfill the objective of the organization. As a member we give opportunity to place in the organization in front of a wide range of Social Coverage and learning as each member have a different development goal and branding initiative; work responsibility is designed as per evidence based strategies (as follows):-

Khushi centre has a proper programme management system which tracks progress and does periodic analysis – both qualitative and quantitative Periodic external evaluations are also done to gauge the impact and progress of various programmes. .

 Khushi centre works for the Slums and Rural areas Health Survey in Slums and Rural areas. New Delhi. (2009-2010). which provides basic healthcare.
